SCAM COLUMNIST JOHN DANIA REPORTS ON EFFECTS OF BP CRISIS IN GULF OF MEXICO

Many longtime readers of Scam Magazine will remember John Dania, the only columnist to appear in all of the first four issues of SCAM. Some might especially remember John’s writing about punk rock scuba diving exploration in “Dive The Chaos”, his column for issue #2.  John is still diving, but is now known to the world as John Hocevar, the director of Greenpeace’s oceans projects.  John and a Greenpeace team of divers are currently in the Florida Keys, diving the reefs and checking out the marine life to ascertain the true effects of BP’s environmental catastrophe in the Gulf this year.  Currently, most of the “scientific” data being presented on the environmental damage in the Gulf is being paid for by BP and the government, so independent studies like this are vitally necessary.  Thanks to John for allowing me to rope him in one more time as a sort-of SCAM columnist, but now online!
