Yeah, that about sums it up… I am feeling pretty damn excited to get asked to play with one of my all-time favorite rocker duos, the legendary and inspiring Fred and Toody of PIERCED ARROWS. Ivy, Greg Harvester, and I (3/4 of Black Rainbow) will be opening for Pierced Arrows on October 23rd in a boxcar on the hobo Utopian land at the Black Butte Center For Railroad Culture in the shadow of Mt. Shasta at Black Butte, CA. Our long hoped for meeting with Pierced Arrows was, of course, foretold in song by the wizard, Fred Cole, in the very first song on the first Pierced Arrow LP, “Black Rainbow”, in which Fred sings, “Black Rainbows are chasing me!”Of course he knew it all along.

One of Greg’s countless other bands, , also opens and we hear friends from far and wide are coming out to marvel at the toughness and sweetness of Fred and Toody’s harmonies and lifetime of rock and roll achievement. If you can make it, the gig is right off the rail line in Black Butte — just 15.6 miles north of the crew change in Dunsmuir! Check the Center site for directions…
